L&T has over 15 years of experience in design, development and manufacturing of radar, telemetry & tracking systems on turn-key basis. All core technologies in radar are developed in-house including RF, Antenna and Radar Processor. Major products include Air Defence Fire Control Radars, Long Range Early Warning Radars, Dual Band Fire Control Radars and Instrumentation Radars. We are also developing airborne radar technologies. Our major customers include Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Armed Forces.
FIRE CONTROL RADAR (FCR): L&T’s Dual Band FCR is designed for short-range and high-precision tracking of air and surface threats like UAVs, aircraft, missiles, fast-maneuvering craft, ships, etc., in all weather conditions and in a hostile Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) environment. It can be interfaced with any kind of search radar and gun, including legacy systems, to provide a unique fire control solution.
Key features:
PRECISION MONOPULSE TRACKING RADAR (PMTR): The Precision Monopulse Tracking Radar (PMTR) is a state-of-the-art auto tracking radar designed for fast acquisition and tracking of satellite launch vehicles and re-entry vehicles or missiles.
PMTR is available in C-Band & S-Band versions in fixed installations and transportable configuration.
Typical Tracking Range:
Parameter | C-Band | S-Band |
---|---|---|
Transponder mode | 4300 km | 3500 km |
Skin mode | 260 km | 180 km |
Key features:
DUAL BAND STABILISED TRACKING AND TELEMETRY SYSTEM: This indigenously developed high-precision dual-band four-axes tracking system on-board ships, tracks aerial targets and acquires telemetry data from targets. Fully automatic, the system has a dual-frequency, dual-polarised antenna operated on a stabilised pedestal. It is configurable for multiple radar and telemetry applications for ship-based and land-based operations.
COASTAL RADAR SYSTEM: The Coastal Radar System (CRS) comprises a network of Radar Stations (RS), Regional Command Centres (RCC), and a common Command Centre (CC). System Voice / Data / Sensor Link interlinks these Radar Stations, Regional Command Centres, and the central Command Centre for exchanging near real-time data related to Surface and low-level air to provide situational awareness of the entire coastline. This all-weather system is designed for quick detection and round-the-clock monitoring in a given coastal area. It is capable of detecting targets as small as 20 m boats, dinghies, and fishing vessels in heavy-clutter conditions.
