L&T’s subsea vehicles include Submarines, Special Operations Vessels (SOVs) & Training Simulators. L&T has been a build-partner to DRDO for construction of advanced underwater platforms for more than three decades. We have a wide spectrum of in-house capabilities to design, build, deliver and support these hi-tech platforms for the Armed Forces.
L&T boasts of robust submarine building capabilities. We support the Indian Navy for maintenance and refits of submarines. L&T SOV is a Special Operations Vessel developed in-house and designed for specific mission interests.
L&T designed, developed and delivered Submarine Escape Training Tower facility for the Indian Navy to train the crew for escape from a distressed submarine. We also offer other training simulators like Submarine Damage Control and Fire Fighting Training Facility (SDCFFTF).
